The Theodore Church of God, located at 6360 Theodore Dawes Road, is open as a shelter for anyone who needs shelter from the freezing temperatures this week. The shelter opened at noon on Monday and will remain open until Friday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m.
Transportation will be provided by a shuttle service picking up at the following locations:
Tilman’s Corner (Walmart): 12:00pm-2:00pm-4:00pm-6:00pm
Cathedral Square (Downtown Mobile): 1:00pm-3:00pm-5:00pm-7:00pm
Volunteers will be driving around to provide transportation to the shuttle.
Also being provided are a continental breakfast, lunchtime sandwiches and a hot dinner, along with beverages and dessert when available. Clothing will be available as well as healthcare provided by Healthcare for the Homeless.
